I found that using the ‘scope on an edge with a little bit of tooth, it will shred the polystyrene shroud and cut its own wedge.  I use a little patch of UHMW tape (sometimes called “slick tape”) on each side of the shroud – at 3 and 9 o’clock.  Yes the toothy edge will cut it too, but not as fast and it’s replaceable.
