I like both the Para 2 and any Benchmade with an Axix Lock.  The Para 2 is just a Para 1 with ergo improvements.  There is a Para 2 with S35VN out there at at good price.  There is also a Para 2 with S110V, a very good steel.  The 940 is also a great knife.  Skinny blade, but great blade shape.  Good caring knife.  In the end you will end up with both, so the question is which to get first.

Congrats.  These are limited runs (I believe).  I will be getting one soon since S110V is not widely available.  I have a Para 2 in S35VN and like it a lot.  Came super sharp with pretty even bevels for a factory edge so I haven’t sharpened it yet.

For what it’s worth, I have a Delica 4 in ZDP-189 and I’ve noticed a distinct difference in how the blade wears.  Unlike all of my other blades (cheapies all) and all of the other blades that come to me, the ZDP never gets the deep dents, caused by pressing against something hard.  It does get rough along the apex like every other knife does with use but never gets the dents which require the removal of a lot of steel.  I attribute this quality solely to its hardness (approx. RC 64).

    Ugh! Hardness good.
