This gadget was made a long time ago by a for me (and some other fellow forum users). It’s meant to support long and heavy knives during sharpening.

Unfortunarely I have no clue anymore how to mount it. Who can help me? Btw, I have a gen 2.

This is one idea I had for mounting it. However, I’m pretty sure it wasn’t the intended idea. Moreover, I’d need to drill a hole in the base and need a new screw to attach it to the base. I’m not sure this would be strong enough.

Is there perhaps anyone who still knows what the original intention for mounting the device was?

It looks like it replaces the base of the clamp?

That was for the Gen2 unit. The riser block was between the base and the jaws
